You are my best friends 'Big Sister' we looked at you in awe when we were little, the lovely clothes, hair,lipstic k and shoes as you were going out for the evening. When you were working and we were still at school we wanted to be like you. You are a wonderful mother and nan. You are truly missed but loved and I say 'you are' because you still are with all those that love you and will never be a 'were'. I've recently returned from a holiday in Tenerife,I have many lovely memories of being there with Pauline,it was good to visit her favourite cafe's and restaurants and made me feel connected with her. 17th March 2012- Jean

Pauline was my first cousin and a very special person who loved her family dearly. She was always sending me letters full of stories about her children and grandchildren. She obviously loved them all very much. Gone too soon and sadly missed.

My thoughts have been focussed today on the joy and love Pauline brought into our lives, I'm blessed to have had such a wonderful sister.

My Mam was the most amazing person. I miss her every single hour of every single day. She was my best friend and my guide in life. We always talked about our umbilical link - I'd think of her and she'd ring me. I'd call her just as she was about to pick the phone up to me. Our thoughts were connected. I still feel her so strongly and she still guides me. Her life was too short but she lived it as we all should full of love, laughter and happiness and that's her legacy to me and to us all. Sara x

Some people make the world a better place by just being in it. Pauline was one of those people. Once of the best quotes I've heard is (something along the lines of), if you were once connected with someone, does it make sense that the connection is broken just because of a physical death? No, the connection stays. You may just have to listen differently. You may just have to talk differently, the connection is never broken. It's impossible to break the most powerful connection in the world, as long as you exist, the connection stays.

Pauline was my dear cousin. My Dad and Pauline's Mum were siblings. I also remember Auntie Marjorie and Uncle Harold with great affection. We always remembered each other's birthdays and wrote quite often. Pauline was a lovely person, who thought the world of her family and who always had so much to tell me about what was happening in her life, how her children were doing,about the birth of her grandchildren and family get togethers. We did meet ever so briefly a couple of years ago and it was so lovely to see her. She had just finished work. She was always constant with her letters and photos and I do miss them. The world is a better place for having known Pauline. Gone too soon. Lots of Love from Carol and family

Pauline brought light and joy to every person and situation she encountered. She was a truly gifted people person who can never be replaced. This is a lovely way to keep her verve and lightness ever present. I feel honoured to have known and loved her.

My memories are always of the warm smile,attentive gaze,her constant attention to put others before herself, and when we met the sun always seemed to be shining.

I am I and you are you, whatever we were to each other that we still are. Speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was.
